Meet Our Team

Clairissa graduated with a degree in early childhood development and education with a minor in mathematics from the University of Maryland at the Mannheim, Germany, campus where she and her husband were stationed during his military service. She later completed her educational training in business management at the University of North Texas and has been working in the pediatric dental field as a business manager since 2007. She started working with Dr. Heaton in 2012 and Dr. Wyatt in 2017, and has a great appreciation for the wonderful people she works for.

Prior to her current role, Clairissa was the director of a childcare center and was working with hundreds of families towards their children’s specific needs. This experience made her a solid communicator and someone who is able to see things from a broad perspective. As our operations manager, she brings a great deal of knowledge and guidance to ensure everything runs smoothly in our office.

Clairissa married her junior high school sweetheart, Matt, in 1989, and together they have three grown children, two of whom have recently made them grandparents! She is a former military spouse and is so proud of her husband’s time in the service. They currently reside in Burnet, Texas, with way too many dogs, a couple of cats and a few sheep.

In her free time, Clairissa likes to read, hike and travel with her husband. She is also a big foodie and loves to cook and watch MasterChef more than she would like to admit.

Nancy was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Alaksa – Fairbanks in 2003. She joined us in July 2015 and contributes to the success of our practice with her loyalty and reliability. Outside the office, Nancy likes to hike, travel and hang out on the lake. She also dreams of being a judge on Top Chef one day.

Maribel graduated from Killeen High School in 2007 and previously worked with Dr. Heaton and Dr. Wyatt at another office before joining us in January 2024. She brings not only her ideas but also the knowledge and experience she has gained from past jobs that can help improve our office. She is also bilingual and helps our office communicate with Spanish speaking families. Maribel loves everything about our office, especially being able to interact with the children as soon as they walk through the door, and how they always leave happy and excited to come back.

Outside the office, Maribel enjoys spending time with family and says, “family time is the best time!”

Liliana joined us in May 2023 and is usually the first friendly face or voice to meet our patients and communicate their needs. She coordinates and manages general anesthesia consultations for families offering all details to both Spanish and English-speaking families. She enjoys assisting families with their dental needs with an open approach to make them feel more comfortable as well as the great doctors who prioritize family and safety.

Liliana is married to an army veteran, and they are currently expecting their first baby together. Her favorite hobby is traveling internationally which has led her to explore wonderful places like France, England, Italy and many more.

Stephanie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Midwestern State University in 2013. She joined us in May 2023 and loves working with such great dentists and co-workers. She strives to bring a positive attitude to work every day, and loves trying to keep her patients comfortable and at ease.

When she is not at the office, you can find Stephanie spending time with her husband Nick and their two kids, Charlie and Lainey, as well as reading and crafting.

Ashley graduated from the dental assistant program at Tyler Junior College in 2008. She joined us in May 2023 and enjoys meeting all the wonderful patients and working alongside great doctors and staff. She is patient, kind and carries a positive attitude to make dental visits a more fun and comfortable experience.

Ashley has been married to her husband, Riley, for 11 years and they have four children together. She enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, watching her kids play baseball and softball and cheering on the Texas Longhorns (Hook’em Horns!)

Denise started working at Southern Stars Pediatric Dentistry in May 2023. She received her RDA license at the Everest Institute at Austin in 2016 and has earned certifications in dental sealants and coronal polishing during her time as an assistant. She loves working with kids and making them feel at ease with her positive attitude and good energy. She also enjoys working with the doctors and her co-workers and has become very close with them.

Denise is married to her husband, Arthur, and together they have three kids. Her interests include cooking, crafting, soccer (as she is a soccer mom) and attending Austin FC soccer games.

Jeaneth joined us in May 2023. She graduated with honors from San Antonio College to become certified as a registered dental assistant and has received certification in dental sealants, nitrous oxide and coronal polishing to enhance her skillset. She also had the opportunity to study law abroad and is a certified personal trainer and nutritional coach. Jeaneth loves working with kids and takes into consideration each child’s unique character and tailors her approach to fit their needs. She is an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person who loves to learn and give 100% every day.

Jeaneth is proudly married to her husband, Marvin, who is a military veteran. They have two children, Ethan and Aiden, who are her entire world. She also loves to lift weights, hike and spend time outdoors whenever she can.
